René Krüter, a pioneer in the fish keeping and breeding field, has dedicated his life to studying Tanganyika cichlids. At the Aquatic
Experience Expo, Krüter will be presenting on his work conducted at Lake Tanganyika in Africa. His team has developed their own catching, holding, and transporting methods to reduce casualty rates and created new methods to reduce stress on captured fish until their release in domestic hobbyist tanks.
As a life long lover of keeping and breeding fish, Krüter realized his professional dreams in 1988 when he decided to begin an export business, MJ Krüter Tropicals. He started with cooperation’s in Zambia and the Congo and eventually grew into a worldwide fish shipping business. Currently, Krüter is the Director of Japan Pet Products EU and he continues his work observing and breeding cichlids and synodontis catfish.
Krüter’s presentation will be accompanied by underwater photography of fish from the Congo shoreline that has never before been seen.
