Presentation Highlight: Native Habitats of the Most Popular Aquarium Fish

Oliver L. Below Water PhotoOliver Lucanus, a German-born writer and photographer obsessed with the beauty and wonder of underwater worlds, has made his life out of exploring rivers, lakes, and the flooded forests of South America. His most recent book, “The Amazon Below Water” captures the natural habitats of fish and plant life in the Amazon.

At this year’s Aquatic Experience Expo, Lucanus will give a presentation on the native habitats of the most popular aquarium fish. His talk will focus on where the fish in tanks come from before they arrive at the pet store. Examples of aquatic life Lucanus will discuss are cardinal tetras, piranhas, angelfish, kribensis, ramirezi, and swordtails.
