A little Q&A with Lundblad about his session:

Q. What will your Aquatic Experience session be about?

A. A Cichlid for Everyone

The common misconception of cichlids being only for a specific buyer will be addressed. There are many myths pertaining to cichlids that often cause the public to view them in a stereotyped light that directly impacts the bottom line of a retailer. This mentality has led to retailers only stocking certain types of cichlids and the public missing out on many amazing varieties. Various types of cichlids and their environments, along with selling tips will be discussed.

Q. Who would your session be most beneficial to and why (retailers, advanced hobbyists, beginners, etc.)?

A. Retailers and hobbyists would benefit from this session. Retailers would be given insight into which fish could work and why for their customers. Hobbyists could learn about more varieties that are available and that could work in various types of tank setups.

Q. What information are you most excited about sharing with your session attendees?

A. That there really can be a cichlid for everyone!

Q. Why should people attend your session?

A. If a person even has a mild interest in cichlids, this talk will open their eyes to a variety of potential options for their future or current tank, will have a plethora of informative details about cichlids, and most likely be exposed to cichlids they have never heard about before!

Q. Why did you pick this topic to talk about?

A. Being passionate about cichlids is near and dear to me. Having been proclaimed an Aulonocara expert by many of my peers is an honor. I have maintained over thirty species of Aulonocara for over twenty years and have travelled to Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, Malaysia, Singapore, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and the tropics of the Amazon River.  Cichlids are my roots and sharing my passion with others is what makes this hobby so great.
